Sometimes a property just needs better structure to actually work for you. That was the situation here - a garage sitting next to a sloped area that needed to be held back and a front apron that needed more usable space. Two problems, one concrete solution.

We started by excavating along the side of the existing apron and setting up the formwork. You can see the rebar grid laid out before the pour - that steel reinforcement is what keeps a wall like this from cracking or shifting over time. Skipping rebar on a retaining wall is a shortcut that always costs more to fix later. We don't skip it.

Once the forms were set and the steel was in place, we poured the wall and let it cure properly. The finished product is a clean, solid concrete retaining wall running the length of the garage side. It holds the grade back, stops erosion, and gives the whole front area a defined edge that ties everything together. The expanded apron ties right into it, giving more room to pull in, turn around, and actually use the space.

Work like this doesn't just look better - it protects the structure and the ground around it for the long haul. A retaining wall that's built right handles water, soil movement, and weight without budging. That's what this customer needed, and that's what we built.

Whether you've got a sloped yard trying to undercut your driveway or you just need more concrete out front, this is the kind of work we do every day. Solid prep, proper reinforcement, and a clean finish every time.
