Old Front Steps Replaced With a Wide Concrete Patio and Entry

Here's what we were working with - a narrow set of worn-out front steps that just weren't cutting it anymore. The entry felt cramped, the concrete was tired, and the whole front of the house didn't match how nice the rest of the property looked. It's one of those things homeowners live with for years without realizing how much of a difference a change would actually make.

We tore out the old setup completely and got to work on something much better. The goal was to give this home a front entry that felt open and intentional - not just functional, but genuinely welcoming. That meant a full concrete patio running the width of the front face of the house, with broad steps leading down from the door.

What makes a job like this work is the prep. We graded the area out, set the forms properly, and made sure the base was solid before a single yard of concrete got poured. You can see the gravel base and rebar work locked in before the pour - that's not something you skip if you want concrete that holds up for decades.

The finished patio is smooth, level, and wide. The curved step design at the entry point is a nice touch that softens the whole look and makes the approach to the front door feel natural. It's a big shift from what was there before, and it's built to last.

This is the kind of work that changes how a home feels every single day - whether you're walking in with groceries or guests are pulling up for the first time. A well-built concrete patio and entry isn't just curb appeal. It's functionality you'll use constantly.
